Went down to the Ferry building, had clam chowder at Fishermans Wharf.
Didn't have time to go to Muir Woods or the Presidium.... something for the bucket list next time.
Met Forest, WIlliam and Sarah (from Occupy San Fran, PSL comrades.)
AT the Airport - walking through security when I saw the old guy in front of me had a huge Winter Solider logo on the back of his leather vest - had to strike up a conversation! Bruce was from the the VVAW/VfP Chapter 71 (Sonoma/Santa Rosa) - they had 2.5k people for their first occupy demo on October 15! He was 19 when he was sent to the 1969? Democratic Convention to help break up protesters (after being trained at Fort Hood). Went to Vietnam in the armoured calvary division (tanks)... came back an anti-war vet and joined the VVAW.
Bought him a coffee, then saw a guy wearing an SSSC t-shirt. Had to say hi, told him I had bet Boots at Occupy Oakland the other day - turns out Kamau is friends with Boots and Aamer! He lives in Oakland, met Aamer at Edinburgh Festival and became friends! had a 3 way convo about Occupy! Freaking awesome.
Arrived in Oklahoma the next day.
