Day Two in San Francisco

Woke up, late, cause I forgot my alarm wasn't set up on Sundays...

Went out, explored the streets around union square before trying to head up to Fisherman's Wharf on the cable cars on Powell street.

They were down.

Homeless tour guide (yep... the homeless act as guides for change, I was pre-warned so gave him a fiver) suggested I go to Haight-Asbury instead where all the hippy shops are. I was also told by an guy wearing an AK press hoodie that there was an anarchist bookshop there..

Sad to say, I didn't find it.

But I did find the largest concentration of drug dealers on a street corner I've ever seen outside the entrance to the Golden Gate Park.

Park was great, went to the De young Museum observation tower, than the to Cal Academy of Science... simply freaking beautiful.

Went to Occupy Oakland in time for the GA.. met some amazing people there.

Spoke my regards to the Occupy Oakland during General Business... about how inspiring it was to see them come back after the raid and come back even stronger, how they've been an inspiration down in Melbourne. The whole world really is watching.. your struggle is our struggle... keep up the good fight...

Was sitting like 2 meters away from Boots Riley for about 15 minutes before I realised who he was...

Met Fish, ethiopian man, Dallas fire twirler, Beth (one of the facilitators), family (Doug, Douglas and Geisha), Greg and Paya and Brian.

Came back to hotel, one of the guys asked the reception for an extra blanket (which they apparently didn't have any) - but since I had 3 spare beds I offered him mine. Ended up chatting for like 4 hours about San Fran, life, love and the human condition... I really, really should have hit on him....
